Affiliate Webinar Archives - Melissa Chagaris and Ken Zachmann

Q & A with Commission Junction (CJ)

<ClubMom_Shawn> Melissa Chagaris & Kenneth Zachmann - Account Development Managers at Commission Junction, will be moderating a Q&A with Commission Junction - feel free to ask questions. Welcome, Melissa and Kenneth!
<Harith> Mark, Yes
<FayetteFamily_Terri> Ideas on choosing merchants when you are first getting started?
<CheaperThanDirt> target market
<Ken_Zachmann> It's best to go with merchants that match your web site content
<ac20_jck> yes, get 1 good affilite out of the gate!
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> Hello Melissa & Kenneth, my site will start producing soon, I promise..lol
<Kevin_Awin1> Why does your program not work in UK£
<ac20_jck> man, I'm all thumbs...
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> CJ - why do you allow merchants to change their payouts so often? We would like to see some sort of control/limit set on this
<TMi_RenetiaMcDaniel> Affiliate or Merchant JCK
<HerSports_Elizabeth> Does anyone have any good directions for using the smart zones on cj
<ac20_jck> affilaite
<ac20_jck> geez... affiliate
<Melissa_Chagaris> Kevin, it should work fine in the UK.
<AffiliateGoddess> i make that mistake like 100 times a day
<MainshipSystems_DS> How about a littlw warning before payout changes, and merchant terminations?
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> Elizabeth, I created different sections in smart zones to store my html until I was ready to paste it, easier to find
<Melissa_Chagaris> We try to educate merchants on changing payout rates
<Red_Hot_Sweeps_CDitty> I agree with Robyn's question. Changing the payout several times a day or every day is a real PAIN.
<Melissa_Chagaris> To give affiliates a few days notice before changing rates
<ac20_jck> why does it seem that affilaites are closely governed, but merchants are left to do whatever they please?
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Melissa - why not CAP it then? Seems like a simple solution
<MainshipSystems_DS> In addition to education, how about some RULES?
<HerSports_Elizabeth> does cj have a place to see merchants by pay out rate
<Melissa_Chagaris> We're working on implementing tools that will enfore this
<ac20_jck> is it because they are your source of revenue?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> How does CJ track actions on the merchant websites?
<Switchouse_AdrienneR> Hi there, I'm an affiliate manager with a recently launched program that I'd really like to ramp up. What does everyone think of getting an outside affiliate consulting service in which you pay for them to get the members and drive the traffic/transactions you need?
<TMi_RenetiaMcDaniel> My issue with CJ is actual numbers
<ac20_jck> if it works.... do ti!
<allplaza_David_Fish> a week or two would be better - it gives them more time
<MrInkMan> I would suggest that you should find another merchant that does not change his payout everyday - like Mr Ink Man!! 40% Always!!
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Melissa - this is my biggest problem with CJ and your merchants - my CJ mailbox is constantly filled with payout changes - it's gotten really old really fast
<AffiliateGoddess> Feel free to contact me about this Adrienne.....I am a consultant. :)
<Melissa_Chagaris> Elizabeth - yes you can do an advanced search under 'Get Links'
<TipzTime_Wendy> Does CJ allow for affiliates to make their own product links?
<scamfree_neil> is it now 2pm EST?
<allplaza_David_Fish> and at least it gives them a weeked to work with
<ClubMom_Shawn> yes Neil
<scamfree_neil> thx
<TMi_RenetiaMcDaniel> How come I see one thing, yet my CJ rep tells me another
<Switchouse_AdrienneR> Thanks, Linda! I was supposed to contact you before! Will definitely follow up.
<Contesthound_Bob> Individual product links and newsletter links are my top concerns
<Ken_Zachmann> Wendy, You can change the link on your page if you want to link directly to a product link
<MainshipSystems_DS> Is there a way to implement the links in a text only newslatter? And still get paid?
<ac20_jck> Has CJ gotten ""too big for its britches""? (respectfully...
<Abusaki1> most of the links break in the text newsletters
<Abusaki1> is there a way to work it out?
<allplaza_David_Fish> yes if you want to place a link in a newsletter you can
<Ken_Zachmann> DS We are not able to do the text only links in Newsletters but we do have that in the pipeline for 2001
<Harith> Mark, To join the AU list, please visit http://www.egroups.com/group/affiliateunion
<MrInkMan> Yes you can do a link in text only newsletter - call and we will tell you how 1-843-209-7131
<CheaperThanDirt> just have to be careful taht there are no lines breaks in it
<CheaperThanDirt> the link i mean
<Contesthound_Bob> Do refresh pages work?
<allplaza_David_Fish> and our program is a great program put in newsletters
<MrInkMan> That's not completely true - length has a play in it also
<Ken_Werner> Melissa/Ken ... why are CJ links soooooo loooooong
<bhoefer> hey Sydney
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Yes I use refresh pages
<sydney_shaw> Hi Brian
<APmanager_Jeff> Ken...they are helping you track impressions and clicks
<AffiliateGoddess> Neil Durrant offers a service that shortens CJ links....www.affiliatemarketing.co.uk
<Melissa_Chagaris> Ken Werner, the links should be much shorter very soon.
<AffiliatePeople_Adam> mainships - there is a tool in the resource room for ""redirect link creation"" for use in newsletters
<DropCigarettes_Mark> How does CJ track actions at the merchant site?
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Melissa / Ken ... question regarding measuring ""active"" affiliates...
<Contesthound_Bob> I put the CJ link with the 1x1 pixal in a refresh page and
<MainshipSystems_DS> CheaperThanDirt - the problem is the 1x1 pixel that can't be recognized in a text only mailing - I meant no HTML compatable.
<Contesthound_Bob> link my newsletter to the refresh page
<Ken_Werner> Melissa, will you warn us affiliates ahead of time that links need to be changed?
<CheaperThanDirt> Cigs= they do that by passin cookies with the AID and PID in them
<Ken_Zachmann> Mark, we have indepth reporting features that merchants can access at all times
<allplaza_David_Fish> come chat with us on the link on top about how to place our link in your newsletter or check out http://www.allplaza.com
<Melissa_Chagaris> Mark - there is an image pixel on the merchant's confirmation page
<DropCigarettes_Mark> No that is not what I mean..... How do you verify an action took place
<MainshipSystems_DS> Thanks Adam - I'll check that out. i called CJ about this, but was told I couldn't do it. So I stopped looking for a way.
<JuniperBank_Jonathan> At least $25 per card - Juniper Bank. Chat with us using the link under our banner above on the left!
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> many of us don't use that 1x1 pixel though - it's a pain in the neck
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> I'm getting alot of neg vibes toward CJ here. I think much of the problem lies with the merchant and not the solution provider.
<AffiliatePeople_Adam> my pleasure, DS
<AffiliateGoddess> i agree Wayne
<Melissa_Chagaris> it sends information back to us after a sale or lead
<AffiliateGoddess> CJ is a tracking netowrk
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Exactly.
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Robyn...why is 1x1 pixels a pain for you?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> How often?
<AffiliateGoddess> you all as merchants and affiliates need to LEARN how to make the system work
<EMT_Andrea> Melissa - how do you know that the merchant is being forthright?
<AffiliateGoddess> CJ's tracking is excellent
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> It is all about relationship management.
<Ken_Zachmann> Mark we have real time tracking and nearly realtime for reporting
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> That is where the current system fails. We are in driveby business mode.
<allplaza_David_Fish> Our program is run via CJ
<Red_Hot_Sweeps_CDitty> Genealogy, for one, if the site is having problems or network traffic is slow, it slows down my pages.
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> they throw off alignment - it adds loading time - we have hundreds of affiliate programs - I'm not putting all those 1x1 pixels on our site
<AffiliateGoddess> affiliates are commissioned salespeople for the merchants they choose
<TeamOn_JamieBirch> I get a lot of fraudulent affiliates sending me fake leads. What is CJ doing about this?
<AffiliatePeople_Adam> I would have to agree with you Porter... but in defense of the merchant, they must be proactive in managing their programs
<AffiliateGoddess> CJ is a tool that helps track transactions - not a hand holding company
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> AAAAhhh...I can understand that...makes sense
<ac20_jck> good point, affiliategoddees
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Not quite excellent... How do you verify
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> oh - and it ads a nasty little line to the dark background areas
<Pastor_Jeff> CJ is my best program,
<Ken_Zachmann> The 1x1 pixel only needs to go on the confirmation page of your shopping cart
<amy_freeformom> (anout the pixels) they are also a pain if you use a links program to run your links
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Yes Adam. But most merchants have never walked in the affiliates shoes and vice versa.
<AffiliateGoddess> Absolutely - merchants who launch with CJ and then sit back and do nothing will get nothing
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Take Appio for instance... you had no idea how many downloads took place
<Red_Hot_Sweeps_CDitty> Genealogy, and if we don't sue them, we take a chance on losing $$$$$
<allplaza_David_Fish> if you have a double opt in system then you can not realy have fake leads
<Pastor_Jeff> You just have to shorten the links
<CheaperThanDirt> Goddess, what do you think we merchants should be doing?
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Ken - what is the best way to run a report to see EXATCLY how many affiliats are ""active""
<Kevin_Awin1> http://www.affiliatewindow.com has this merchant
<AffiliateGoddess> same goes for affiliates - if you join programs and dont actively work for them - you wont make money
<allplaza_David_Fish> http
<AffiliateGoddess> CJ is actually irrelevant to that process
<ClubMom_Shawn> Melissa & Ken - do you know what % of your merchants are also affiliates?
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Pastor - youneed a redirect script then you don't have to worry about the length of the links
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> David... amazingly enough people find a way to fake leads with a double opt-in system
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> CJ has been quite helpful for cash flowing my affiliate properties
<Pastor_Jeff> i have one
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> But they are an ASP.
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> As Ken said...you only need to add the 1x1 pixel to your confirmation page though!
<Ken_Zachmann> The best way to run a report is go into the manage affiliates area and run a report on Commissions Paid out to affioliates
<allplaza_David_Fish> thats scarry
<AffiliateGoddess> Cheaper - work with the ones that show ANY signs of being effective - call them, ask them what they need to do better
<Referit_Cynthia> How often does CJ pay affiliates? What amount?
<Red_Hot_Sweeps_CDitty> sorry geneolegy, meant don't use them
<CheaperThanDirt> thanks! anything else?
<AffiliatePeople_Adam> ... agreed, Porter.
<EMT_Andrea> My question is still unanswered - how do you keep the merchants honest when a sale occurs?
<Pastor_Jeff> monthy, direct deposit to my bank
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> I send personal messages and thank promising affiliates for signing up to our program.
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> 1x1 on confirmation page? I'm lost on this part
<Melissa_Chagaris> We pay affiliates once per month. They just need to make a minimum of $25
<DropCigarettes_Mark> I have the same question
<Kevin_Awin1> I work at http://www.affiliatewindow.com
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> But that will give you historical info as well...not a ""current"" snapshot of active links correct?
<ac20_jck> please answer EMT's question
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Was the Appio Question missed?
<Ken_Zachmann> Andrea, if a purchase is made through one of your links then the tracking code gets logged and the affilaite gets awarded the commission bounty
<CheaperThanDirt> ~waves~ hi bessy!
<EMT_Andrea> Melissa stated erlier that you rely on the merchant to inform you of a sale - which is true?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Ken.... That sounds goo but from experience I know that is not the case
<Melissa_Chagaris> the image pixel passes variable to us (sale amount, affiliate ID, etc.)
<Focalex_Ryan> Hi Melissa! Why a $25 minimum payout?
<Pastor_Jeff> Mellisa, the direct deposit program is a winner.
<CheaperThanDirt> emt= no, cj.com tracks the sales
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> are you kidding me Melissa?
<ac20_jck> who monitors ""returns"" to make sure they are valid?
<Kevin_Awin1> http://www.affiliatewindow.com pays out at £10
<HerSports_Elizabeth> If any merchant contacted me and said they would consult closely with me and I would make $100/month, I would do whatever they thought worked on my sites.
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> .....QUESTION for all...when people tout an ""active"" rate...is that ""current links"" or ""current commissions paid out"" or???
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> we are not getting tracked correctly on sales and leads without the 1x1 pixel?
<DomainDirect_Bessy> ;)
<Melissa_Chagaris> Andrea...the image pixel on the confirmation page at the merchant's site
<AffiliateGoddess> Elizabeth - EXACTLY!
<ac20_jck> sometimes I feel like I am at the mercy of an unseen third party
<Melissa_Chagaris> automatically sends the information back to us after a sale or lead
<guy> Hello....is anybody here?
<emazing_glenn> Our company gets approached all of the time from others wanting to do CPA deals that are usually twice what we can get from their standard affiliate program.
<Focalex_Ryan> we pay out at $10 minimum :-)
<EMT_Andrea> so you do have an automatic way of tracking the sale?
<emazing_glenn> Why not just sit back and wait?
<ClubMom_Shawn> Please keep the questions and comments focused on CJ here
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Looks like Guy Is all alone again
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> hi guy
<ac20_jck> going to the source is always more lucrative than going through a third party...
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> not always ac20
<MrInkMan> what is this 1x1 pixel you are talking about
<Melissa_Chagaris> Andrea. Yes, the sale is tracked automatically, in real time
<Red_Hot_Sweeps_CDitty> ac20, if the source actually pays you.
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Was the Appio question overlooked?
<todd_cj> Ryan - the $25 minimum payout is for all earnings - not just for one program
<Affiliates4Cash_Nanc> to CJ -As an affiliate I noticed that you no longer provide the actual url of 2-tier affiliates that sign up under us. We've had a number of sign-ups that disappeared. CJ claimes they were cheating. How can we verify this? And , WHY don't you display their url or website name?
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Sometimes the source doesn't survive
<ac20_jck> how can you say that?
<Ken_Zachmann> jck, We have a dedicated team Client Service team that you can contact to help clear up any questions so you don't feel like you are at the mercy of the 3rd party
<AffiliateGoddess> the good thing about affiliates choosing CJ merchants is all the programs they belong to tracked and paid in one place
<EMT_Andrea> thank you, Melissa. If we have issue with this, who do we contact at CJ?
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Ken ... regarding the reporting...? how do I know how many affiliats are ""currently"" serving a link?
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Plus you have aggregation which leads to liquidty
<Red_Hot_Sweeps_CDitty> We have done ""private"" deals before. 9 out of 10 times, they ignore our emails when asking for payment.
<emazing_glenn> Everyone, that 1x1 pixel is NOT necessary for proper tracking
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> liquidity is a key factor that web properties need to survive
<todd_cj> Ryan - affiliates could earn $10 from three programs and get one $30 check each month
<Jonny> To Commission Junction. We currently use you as our third party tracking system. One of our major concerns is you have so many merchants and you send out so many new merchant emails everyday that basically they are getting erased by the majority of affiliates. What do you do to combat this problem?
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Melissa - AGAIN - are you saying that we MUST have the 1x1 pixel on our sites in order for sales and leads to be tracked correctly?
<emazing_glenn> No
<Focalex_Ryan> todd - nice!
<Melissa_Chagaris> Andrea, you can call our Client Services department at 1-800-761-1072
<APmanager_Jeff> Ken...do you have a moderated forums section on your website
<AffiliateGoddess> JOnny - that is a problem - CJ?
<EMT_Andrea> TY
<allplaza_David_Fish> With cj we have no min payout - our program is at https://www.cj.com/affiliate/branded_aff_join.epl?air_refmerchantid=26379
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Linda I think it is up to the merchant to recruit.
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> or find people that can.
<Ken_Zachmann> Lisa, In the Manage Links area you can see which affiliates are hosting certain links.
<APmanager_Jeff> One that affiliate can post these kind of questions to?
<AffiliateGoddess> Yes but ultimately the affiliate decides who they work with and who they dont
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Was the APPIO Question to CJ overlooked?
<Ken_Zachmann> Nanc, you can contact our Client Service department and talk to them directly about that or email us at merchantservices@cj.com
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> The majority of the time merchants put out lousy programs.
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> And their sites are not setup to sell or convert..and they want to blame affiliate marketing
<JollyGoodDeals_Myke> robyn, I think you don't need the pixel, the merchants you link to do!
<Ken_Zachmann> Porter, How do you mean lousy, not paying enough?
<Red_Hot_Sweeps_CDitty> Did I miss the answer on how CJ keeps merchants honest?
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> ah - thank you Jolly - had me worried there for a minute!
<Referit_Cynthia> Let's keep the questions to CJ.
<amy_freeformom> ditto on that! Some will tell you you can alter it, others won't allow it. Which means it only is there for the merchant!
<nano_ryann> Last I saw, CJ had about 20 Merchants with a substantial amount of products available from digital merchant catalogs- any word on how many CJ has now?
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Lousy meaning- no creatives, no follow-up, no skill set, poor product, poor payment
<AffiliateGoddess> Agreed Wayne - up to both sides to get PROFESSIONAL. :)
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> poor communications
<DropCigarettes_Mark> I think They are Avioding the question
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> i can go on and on
<Erin_IrishisDesign> Did I miss on how to send links that don't break up in text only e-mail?I am putting in no breaks
<Melissa_Chagaris> Robyn, yes merchants have our tracking code (which is the 1x1 image pixel) on their sites to track sales and leads
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Conversely you have a lot of affiliates who cannot drive sales or traffic
<todd_cj> MArk - what was the question?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> It is a sore spot with CJ ... They Ignore merchant fraud
<Ken_Zachmann> Cditty, By honest, do you mean fraud, we have strict parameters regarding which merchants we allow into the network,
<Melissa_Chagaris> for merchants running click programs, the 1x1 pixel is not needed to track
<AffiliateGoddess> Still waiting on CJ to answer the questions regarding the overabundance of mail from merchants clogging affilaite in boxes
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> thank you Melissa - just wanted to make sure as an affiliate I did NOT need to run that pixel
<Pastor_Jeff> i beg to differ, i had a problem and they handled it quite well.
<Andrew_allplaza> Earn up to $0.80 per lead in AllPlaza's affiliate program. Ask me how in our chat room.
<QuinStreet_JulieR> I like to get e-mail from merchants
<Jonny> thankyou affiliate goddess thought I missed something
<DropCigarettes_Mark> The question is how do you verify merchant signups and sales
<Pastor_Jeff> On the phone with a live person.
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Goddess - a bulk of it is from CJ directly - I hate the emails announcing new programs - it's right on the home page when you log in, it's redundant to send us emails about them as well
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> I would take a solution provider that stakes their success with mine any day over a company that is out to *BLEEP* fees from merchants
<Red_Hot_Sweeps_CDitty> Ken, Meant more on claiming my click counted and than saying it didn't
<QuinStreet_JulieR> Hi Pastor Jeff
<AffiliateGoddess> Robyn - I agree
<Pastor_Jeff> Hi Julie
<QuinStreet_JulieR> Didn't know you were here
<Ken_Zachmann> A.G. , We are launching a new Message Center that will be Opt In and allow merchants to send more taregeted messages to afflite groups, this is slated to be released Q1,2
<todd_cj> CJ tracks all sign-ups and sales from our tracking code.
<CheaperThanDirt> Robyn...i just click select all visible and put them in the trash
<JuniperBank_Jonathan> Swing through the Juniper chat room above on the left!
<Pastor_Jeff> wouldn't miss this for the world
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Sounds AWESOME Ken! Looking forward to it!
<Stewart_Davidson> I've had good service with CJ checking on a potential fraud case
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Tod.. that is not True
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> I read them all
<Switchouse_AdrienneR> How do you suggest to get the word out of a new limited time promotion that you are running if you don;t use email?
<amy_freeformom> I'd like it if there could be two weekly e-mails instead, one about programs (new and gone) and one about payment changes. That' better than 50 little emails
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Cheaper - same here on the CJ announcements in the inbox - all dumped into the trash without reading
<Pastor_Jeff> seems i'm being ignored
<WebDecal_Linda> CJ-Do you offer replicator pages in your program? How effective are they?
<Kevin_Awin1> I run Affiliatewindow.com in the UK Is there anyone out with a US network?????????????????????
<todd_cj> MArk - why is that not true?
<Marla_ClubMom> Hi Linda!
<Neil_Durrant> Ken - dos this new message system wotrk within your current web based system?
<AffiliateGoddess> Wayne - you are ALONE in that and have way too much time on your hands...LOL
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Cj did not track the downloads for Appio
<ClubMom_Shawn> BTW - I got a CJ train whistle in the mail a while back - nice touch.
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> I am profitable :)
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Switchhouse - use regular email - not CJ email to announce promotions - better chance of us reading them
<Pastor_Jeff> Me too, Shawn
<AffiliateGoddess> HI there!
<Ken_Zachmann> Durrant, Yes it will be realesed within the CJ Account manager
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> me too Shawn - woowoo! my son loves it
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Me too Shawn! Loved it...use it at every milestone as I grow our program
<Partnerprogrammecom> I liked the whistle too
<WebDecal_Linda> Hi Marla :-)
<todd_cj> MArk - you need to contact customer service to investigat a specific instance.
<Partnerprogrammecom> Nice touch
<Neil_Durrant> so not via direct email?
<AffiliateGoddess> Hi Neil
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Todd... you know that I did that
<amy_freeformom> I got the whistle too, my 4 yr old LOVES it! :-)
<Neil_Durrant> Hi Linda :)
<DropCigarettes_Mark> I spoke with you
<BuckysList_com> hi
<Stewart_Davidson> Got 3 whistles - kids loved them
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> I want a whistle..
<WebDecal_Linda> Hello Linda
<todd_cj> Did they investigate it? If so, what was the response?
<emazing_glenn> Hey CJ, is there a place I can go to see who pays the highest commissions around?
<AffiliateGoddess> have to make money with CJ Bonni! :)
<cj_nicoleflynn> as far as too many merchant emails in the inboxes, it is important for affiliates and merchants to get to know eachother. The key is to keep up on your inbox and organize it using the inbox tools.
<Switchouse_AdrienneR> Thanks, Robyn. I was wondering which email was the best to use.
<todd_cj> You get a whistle with your first paycheck.
<CheaperThanDirt> cool!
<cj_nicoleflynn> HI Linda!
<DropCigarettes_Mark> And I was paid not on the actual downloads but on what appio ""felt"" was fair
<Pastor_Jeff> Yes, they did and they handle it very professionally and fast
<Melissa_Chagaris> Glenn, go to the Get Links area and do an Advanced Search
<AffiliateGoddess> Hey girl!
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> emazing - don't base your affilaite choices on who pays the most - base your selections on what will work best with your site traffic
<Melissa_Chagaris> you can sort by sale, lead, or click programs
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> something to shoot for
<CheaperThanDirt> shouldn't the AID and PID numbers be shown in the status bar of an affilaites site?
<cj_nicoleflynn> Great to chat with you
<emazing_glenn> And say exactly what, please?
<JuniperBank_Jonathan> Juniper Bank pays some of the highest commissions around! Up to $40 per credit card. Chat with us by clicking above this window on the left!
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> CJ - is there a way to run a tranaction report ""across months"" - if not, is that in the works?
<bestbizfit_michael> how do you find the stats on how affiliates and merchants are doing on CJ?
<AffiliateGoddess> But always choose program that MATCH your content or build a site to promote a merchant
<AffiliateGoddess> dont just throw up high paying links/banners and expect to make money
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> BINGO Goddess!
<Partnerprogrammecom> Question to CJ: Are you aware that exchange rates for your foreign currency checks are really BAD?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> And Cj ignored the Bestrate issue so long it's now forgotten.. I never got an acceptabel answer on that either
<Partnerprogrammecom> e.g. 1 US$= 2.10 German marks (instead of 2.30)
<Affiliates4Cash_Nanc> It would be helpful if you could provide a 'search your current merchant partners' for specific category as you currently offer to search ALL programs. Searching via a-z is a pain. ( We haven't yet set up our smartzones.)
<navto_wll138> where do u find good site layout design for affi
<ClubMom_Shawn> Which CJ programs have been most profitable for affiliates here?
<AffiliateGoddess> Say you find a high paying merchant and youthink you can do something - then FOCUS on that program
<HerSports_Elizabeth> experimenting with merchants is sometimes neccessary. You don't always guess right on which ones work best on your site
<Alchemedia_Michael> I have heard criticism of the CJ contract starting upon the launch of 5.0, what are some of the issues of the CJ contract and what is being done to resolve them?I have heard criticism of the CJ contract starting upon the launch of 5.0, what are some issues of the CJ contract and what is being done to resolve them?
<OneandOnly_JordanWood> 4,1asdfal'
<OneandOnly_JordanWood> 4,1l;'
<cj_nicoleflynn> to continue with linda's ideas, choose programs that enhance your site and meet your user profile -psycho and demographics
<Ken_Zachmann> Michael, To see how the programs are performing both affiliates and merchants have access to multiple reports to see stats
<bestbizfit_michael> flipdog for me
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Shawn, they have many good CPA deals
<AffiliateGoddess> Elizabeth - yes test test test
<bestbizfit_michael> where do i go
<Melissa_Chagaris> paftnerprogramme - I'll pass that information along to our international department
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> Capital One has been very good to us
<WebDecal_Linda> CJ-Do you offer replicator pages with your program? If so, how effective are they?
<AffiliateGoddess> if your merchants dfont perform (ie convert your traffic to sales/leads) drop em
<amy_freeformom> I've done well with babies online
<Andrew_allplaza> In November alone an AllPlaza affiliate generated over $2,500 in commissions!
<EMT_Andrea> click thrus are good, provided the merchant doesn't charge fraud after 9 clicks or so
<todd_cj> Patnerprogramme - would you email me more details on the exchange rates?
<ClubMom_Shawn> I like Babies Online a lot too (as well as Echo Factor)
<amy_freeformom> what's echo factor?
<AffiliateGoddess> wonder why Shawn likes Babies online - LOL
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Ken / Melissa....is ""CROSS MONTH"" transaction reports planned at all for new release?
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Comscore pays well, Brainbench, e24/7
<Jonny> Using the interface, how do you find which affiliates joined your program directly through your site and which ones joined through cj
<Pastor_Jeff> Lower my Bills untill they changed theie commisision structure
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> CJ - I would like to see you add a field to the descriptions in which the merchants MUST include specifically what constitutes a lead - many say pay per lead and what we feel is a lead they do not
<CheaperThanDirt> Ques for CJ= should the AID and PID be shown in the status bar on an affilaites site when you hold the mouse over your link?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Well thanks for ignoreing me again.... I'm off to a more productive activity
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> We had one affiliate who made $33,000 in november... and two more that made around 25,000
<ClubMom_Shawn> Echo Factor offers headlines on specific personalities, teams, etc. for your site
<EMT_Andrea> mark - please stay!
<amy_freeformom> so it offers content. :-) real time?
<Stewart_Davidson> Tod, any way to link to a specific merchant product? I'm trying to promote a CJ merchant and they're too busy to work with me directly.
<CheaperThanDirt> Club Mom= URL please
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Ken? Melissa?
<ClubMom_Shawn> yes Amy
<Ken_Zachmann> Cross month transaction reports are in the pipeline I believe, again contact our Client Service dept periodically to check and see if it is available
<AffiliateGoddess> hey stewart
<ClubMom_Shawn> Cheaper - clubom.com
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> thank you Ken
<CheaperThanDirt> Stewart = the merchant has to add the product in cj.com then you can use the link
<ClubMom_Shawn> oops clubmom.com
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Not for a Cj discussion... I have more important things to do...and am making CJ uncomfortable
<Ken_Zachmann> Mark what was your question..sorry if I missed it
<AffiliateGoddess> they ought to work with you directly....:) you can produce for any merchant
<nano_ryann> Stewart- CJ or the merchant can send their product catalog to you
<Stewart_Davidson> Hi Linda, good to see you
<CheaperThanDirt> thanks shwawn i need something like that for my doorway pages
<DropCigarettes_Mark> YOu missed it 5 times
<ac20_jck> Mark - I gree with you!
<Affiliates4Cash_Nanc> Yes, would like to link to specific product; also providing a code to include in emails would be helpful too.
<ac20_jck> rhetoric
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> THank you Shawn!
<SavingsCentral> agreed
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> ditto
<Ken_Zachmann> Sorry Mark ..yikes
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> wtg Shawn
<Marla_ClubMom> :-)
<amy_freeformom> LOL, ditto
<CheaperThanDirt> wtg???? should I even ask?
<bestbizfit_michael> hi guy , your back
<QuinStreet_JulieR> Good work Shawn
<QuinStreet_JulieR> As Usual
<EMT_Andrea> in Marks' defense, he did ask the same question numerous times and was missed, like a lot of the other questions
<emt_shareda> Club mom, I'm reading the comments, and CJ appears to be avoiding answering qeustions with good answers
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> wat to go, Dirt
<ac20_jck> I agree with EMT
<Ken_Zachmann> Andrea, what was Mark's question
<SavingsCentral> have we discussed anything about limits on how often a merchant can change the commission?
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> way
<amy_freeformom> yeah, but people are volunteering their time, no need to be rude
<CheaperThanDirt> thanks around the house
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> repeat for CJ - I would like to see you all add a field to the descriptions of the merchants where they must include specifically what constitutes a lead. Many merchants are claiming leads aren't leads in what affiliate would feel they are. Comments?
<emazing_glenn> What do they offer Darren?
<EMT_Andrea> It had to do with an issue of non-payment wit Appio and another merchant
<cj_nicoleflynn> with so many questions so fast it is difficult to hear them all.
<Harith> Melissa! CJ pages are downloading very slow from here, Denmark
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> savings - CJ said they are working on it :-(
<Eurovacations_Errera> how often do affiliates get payed though CJ ?
<EMT_Andrea> apparently the merchant paid what he felt was 'fair' and Mark was looking for a better resolution
<SavingsCentral> thx Robyn
<CheaperThanDirt> Euro= once a month
<eGoodz_Chuck> Freelane dropped their program last night, what do I replace it with?
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> emazing glenn... are you talking to me... so hard to tell in this chat
<emazing_glenn> Yep
<Ken_Zachmann> Saving Cent, Merchnats can change their comm. but out Technical team needs to verify and approve the change
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Nothing Chuck- free ISPs aren't doing very well in current market
<emazing_glenn> Re: Capital ONe
<Melissa_Chagaris> Robyn, yes I agree. We try to have merchants say what constitutes a lead in their program description
<AffiliateGoddess> have to take a call - bye all - very cool thing!
<cj_nicoleflynn> about your leads question..that is a great idea. we do encourage merchants to clarify their programs. This is very important
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Melissa - I would like to see it MANDATORY
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> What do our affiliates offer... or what do we offer
<nano_ryann> who wanted to know about linking directly to specific products?
<emazing_glenn> What does Capital One offer?
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> I'm getting tired of seeing merchants go back in and take back pay per leads
<eGoodz_Chuck> does CJ have some good paid service ISP's, haven't found any ...
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> Credit cards
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> bad interest rates :-)
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Remember Affiliates ... CJ is a provider... We merchants are responsible for the program...so if we are doing something wrong...let US know too! :)
<SavingsCentral> lol
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> low apr no annual fee and they seem to be pretty lienient on credit ratings
<Switchouse_AdrienneR> I think too often merchants are bombarded with fraudulent leads which is a huge problem.
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> they pay well too
<Melissa_Chagaris> Capital One offers $25 per sale
<emazing_glenn> Exactly, what do they pay? Range?
<emazing_glenn> Thanks
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> yes... but they also have a sliding scale for high volume affiliates 25-35 dollars
<Pastor_Jeff> Cap one is one of my best performers
<CheaperThanDirt> why does money keep coming out of my merchant account when I haven't approved any sales?
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Melissa and Ken - what happened to the message boards?
<ac20_jck> cfaffilaite.com pays $4 per lead (name, phone and email) that's it!
<KoolStores_Steve> Is Billy Hugo around
<JuniperBank_Jonathan> Juniper is another credit card program paying $25 per sale like Cap One
<Ken_Zachmann> Adrienne, If you think you are receiving too many fraudulent leads isolate the affiliate the you are questioning and repor them to our Fraud dept.
<cj_nicoleflynn> regarding downloading CJ Pages in Denmark.. We are adding new servers monthly. We are specifically thinking of those of you in Eurpoe and Asia
<emazing_glenn> I would love to have a co-branded credit card besides just earning commissions. Any suggestions?
<JuniperBank_Jonathan> But in December, we're paying up to $40.
<Melissa_Chagaris> Cheaper....the money will 'come out' of your account as transactions occur
<emazing_glenn> WE have over 13 million unique subscribers
<CheaperThanDirt> thanks melissa
<Eurovacations_Errera> Are affiliates more interested in programs that give them a few cents per click or a large commission on each sale ?
<Melissa_Chagaris> If you choose to reverse a transaction, the money will be returned automatically
<ac20_jck> glenn, hok me up!
<cj_nicoleflynn> On the CJU tab there is a fantastic message board section. Please check it out.
<KoolStores_Steve> hey Melissa is Billy Hugo around
<emazing_glenn> It's all about the hook-up;-)
<JuniperBank_Jonathan> Come chat with me using the link above on the left.
<amy_freeformom> Euro - I like per lead personally, it's kind of inbetween
<Melissa_Chagaris> Errera - it depends on the affiliate. Some deal strictly with sale programs
<todd_cj> Billy is working
<Ken_Zachmann> Hey KoolStores, No billy is not on the chat, but give him a call
<Eurovacations_Errera> thanks chagaris
<cj_nicoleflynn> Affiliates are interested in different pay out plans. It is an individual preference by each affiliate acording to their website
<KoolStores_Steve> We need to get something straight up today
<JuniperBank_Jonathan> The Juniper MasterCard - up to $40 per card. In the chat room above on the left.
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> ah - speaking of Fraud! We have had merchants accuse us of that because of our newsletter hits - does CJ's Fraud department keep on file notes about a particular affilaite (such as myself) who they have deemed NOT fraudulent so future matters are handled quickly with merchants claiming fraud against us?
<ClubMom_Shawn> FYI - if you want to chat privately with anybody - just right click over their name and select Person-to-Person chat
<Melissa_Chagaris> others prefer only pay per click or lead, for example affiliates that have large targeted e-mail lists
<MrInkMan> Emazing - we have a $5000 per day budget - call John at 1-843-209-7131
<Ken_Zachmann> Steve, After this chat is over, give Billy a call!! he will be happy to help
<cj_nicoleflynn> HI Rick
<KoolStores_Steve> CJ does not handle anything quickly
<Affiliates4Cash_Nanc> I checked, but can't find - Has anyone addressed the fact that some merchants are allowed to change their payouts on a daily basis? I check my mail at CJ all the time, but it gets ridiculous!!??
<Melissa_Chagaris> Robyn - yes our fraud department does keep detailed notes on accounts they have deemed NOT fraudulent
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Hhhhmmm....I have had EXCELLENT response times with CJ
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Yeah! Thank you Melissa that's the answer I wanted to hear :-)
<Ken_Zachmann> Steve, We do our best!
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Shawn - can we turn off seeing who is coming and going in the chat room - it's getting annoying
<Rick_Bier> hi Nicole
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> Thanks Robyn, good idea
<CheaperThanDirt> what do you think is the best way to get affiliates to put up your bannrs?
<ClubMom_Shawn> Robyn - I'll ask the tech people - I'm not familiar with this chat software
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> thanks Shawn - would make it easier to read I think
<iknowthat_lisa> will the transcripts be edited at all?
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Cheaper ... in an earlier chat, aff's said they preferred text links, so those may help
<Ken_Zachmann> Cheaper, The best way we've found is to send out email promotions to our network.
<CheaperThanDirt> ~nodding my head~ yes, i was there, just looking for more ideas thanks
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Cheaper...also, contact them with promotions or ideas on placement
<awvcq> Cheaper Than Dirt: New customer bounties!
<CheaperThanDirt> ken: do you have a link with more information
<cj_nicoleflynn> Payout changes by merchants are gooing to be subject to new rules in the new year. We want to satisfy everyone. And your frustrations are understandable.
<nathan> Robyn - Right click on the member list, then choose ""Chat Options"" and clear the check box next to ""Show Joins""
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> oh we love bounties! it's a good thing!
<KoolStores_Steve> I would like to know why CJ told me my account would be reactive three weeks ago, and still hasn't been
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> yes, cheaper, text links that are specific to a product or service, that way we can put the ones that relate to content
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> ......CJ ...- can we send emails to your entire affiliate installed base?
<Ken_Zachmann> Cheaper, another way to get more/better affiliate is to go and promote your tier two program to content related sites that are not with CJ yet
<emazing_glenn> I don't think we would sell much ink - are you B to B?
<CheaperThanDirt> thanks bonni!
<Melissa_Chagaris> Lisa, yes merchants can send promotional e-mails once per quarter out to the entire network
<navto_wll138> where do u find good site layout design for affiliates
<ScholarStuff_John> Cheaper, on my sites text links way outperform banners, so for affiliate programs text links seem the best way to go. Besides, affiliates can fit many text links on one html page - with banners you are usually limited to one or two depending on site design.
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Oh EXCELLENT Melisaa. thanks...do I work with My Account Manager to set that up?
<navto_wll138> money making sites
<Stewart_Davidson> What about posting the bestMerchant conversion ratios?
<cj_nicoleflynn> By providing affiliate program information on your site, you stand to gain a more serious affiliate audience
<CheaperThanDirt> Ken: yes, I ve been doing that but it is very labbor intensive....
<Ken_Zachmann> Steve, Please look at the Set-up Wizard on our site and you can see where you on Set-up and what you have left to complete, if you have direct quesions, contact Client Services
<Melissa_Chagaris> Yes Lisa. Just send the copy to your account manager or to our Client Services department (merchantservices@cj.com)
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Stewart- Merchants dont wont that
<MrInkMan> B2B and B to customer - we have one affiliate that has made over $23,000 in one month - and he does not have the list you do!
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> GREAT thanks Melissa!
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> it would expose how poor most of their probrams are.
<Ken_Zachmann> MrInk Man, List, affiliate List
<Stewart_Davidson> Waynem maby the top 50 or so
<nano_ryann> Btw- I've had very quick responses from Nathan Fish at CJ for all sorts of questions. Keep up the good work.
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> CJ - how do we start our own merchant account? I have tried 3 times and never gotten any response from CJ on this
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> I would make it Voluntary
<ClubMom_Shawn> Which problems Wayne?
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Let the good ones show off.
<Ken_Zachmann> Steve, are you an affiliate that was removed from the system?? If that is the case then you need to re-apply or speak with our Fraud dept.
<Stewart_Davidson> Agreed
<Andrew_allplaza> AllPlaza is the ultimate comparison-shopping site on the net. We compare both local and on-line stores. We also have coupons, catalogs, sales, sweepstakes and free stuff. We are paying up to $0.80 per lead. Make money now, ask me how in our chat room!
<Stewart_Davidson> Nathan Fish has been helpful
<MrInkMan> Go here http://www.mrinkman.com/affiliatetwo.htm
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Shawn I think were touching on the fact that most merchants do not reveal any payouts or ratios (not clubmom- i know you guys need last month)
<Ken_Zachmann> Andrea, good promo!
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Nathan Fish is AWESOME!
<cj_nicoleflynn> Robyn please call 805/560-0777 and ask for a sales person right now.
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> thanks
<MainshipSystems_DS> CJ: many merchants arein the wrong categories. Many also don't keep their descriptions currents
<KoolStores_Steve> Ken I did that already with Billy Hugo at the Comdex Computer Show in Las Vegas, He said that a letter was sent out to me, but it wasn't, he said the account would be reactive in a few days, it wasn't, I sent a letter two weeks ago, no responce
<ClubMom_Shawn> Wayne - agreed - as an affiliate, it's frustrating for me to have to figure out the ratio by testing a program (esp. if it stinks)
<awvcq> CJ merchant descriptions are poor, more like a dales pitch than informative
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> agreed Main - they need more categories I think - like sweepstakes, they aren't gambling at all
<Andrew_allplaza> AllPlaza is the ultimate comparison-shopping site on the net. We compare both local and on-line stores. We also have coupons, catalogs, sales, sweepstakes and free stuff. We are paying up to $0.80 per lead. Make money now, ask me how in our chat room!
<AffiliateHelp_Porter> Hello brian c.
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> Come chat with Focalex staff... click on the bottom left chat button
<JollyGoodDeals_Myke> For people asking about transcripts, I noticed on the main page you can click on a link to view archived chat.
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> agree with awvcq as well
<cj_nicoleflynn> This is happening lately. We encourage our merchants to update their account specs often. In the new year this will be an initiative for merchants to do twice a year.
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> CJ, what would be the best way for me to mark the merchant's whose links I have already copied, so the list isn't so long?
<Ken_Zachmann> Steve, Hmm, I would contact Billy direclty if you can't reach him there contact our 800 761 1072 and ask to leave a message for them
<emazing_glenn> HOw long will the archives be available Melissa?
<Contesthound_Bob> Great idea Bonnie
<Eurovacations_Errera> hi, we just launched an affiliate program a few weeks ago, and we would like to learn more about the affiliate business. If somebody could take a look www.eurovacations.com/cgi-bin/evacation/go.html?gopage=/premierplan.html and criticize roughly our program, we'd be glad.
<Melissa_Chagaris> Archives of transactio reports, etc. Glenn?
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> CJ - also have them put the same name of the affiliate program as their company name. I sign up for things and then get an approval but it's under a different name and I have no idea who they are
<csfuchs> hi everyone
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> Hi
<Melissa_Chagaris> The previous 12 months are available on the interface. If you need specific numbers from before then,
<Affiliates4Cash_Nanc> Will this archived chat be available tonight, tomorrow, etc?
<cj_nicoleflynn> Robyn...Agreed
<Focalex_DarrenDeLuca> Is this FreeTravelVouchers.com CSFuchs?
<CheaperThanDirt> Thank you Ken and Melissa for your patience and help
<Ken_Zachmann> Errera, If you are interested in being a merchant contact us here and ask for one of our Sales Reps, they can take a look at your site and give you some feedback
<Melissa_Chagaris> let us know...we can get archived information for you
<Affiliates4Cash_Nanc> oops already asked
<awvcq> Winners Club GOOD point, it's very confusing to say the least
<Eurovacations_Errera> Zachmann, how de we contact you ?
<Melissa_Chagaris> thank you Cheaper...we're trying to get to everybody as fast as we can
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> ......CJ.....what are you guys hearing are the top issues that Affiliates have (new program here...want to learn!)
<ClubMom_Shawn> Nanc - today at affiliatewebinar.com/active/archives.cfm
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> CJ - not an important question but wondering what the heck the skiiers, guitar players and cars have to do with anything on your main page?
<Andrew_allplaza> AllPlaza is the ultimate comparison-shopping site on the net. We compare both local and on-line stores. We also have coupons, catalogs, sales, sweepstakes and free stuff. We are paying up to $0.80 per lead. Make money now, ask me how in our chat room!
<Ken_Zachmann> You can contact us directly at either 800 761 1072 or contact merchantservices@cj.com
<nano_ryann> msmith- is Gary Wall still with collectibles.com?
<ClubMom_Shawn> I prefer the new ad for CJ in the current Industry Standard
<Eurovacations_Errera> Zachmann, we actually work with CJ
<cj_nicoleflynn> Robyn Life, buying online happens anywhere, anytime, for all lifestyles and CJ supports all merchants and affiliates in their efforts.
<Ken_Zachmann> Errera, Okay..affiliate or merchant...you can contact our Client Services dept for help
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> ok
<Eurovacations_Errera> Thanks Zachmann
<JollyGoodDeals_Myke> Hi Mark, glad to see you back
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Thanks
<JollyGoodDeals_Myke> They never did anser your question, although they asked what it was when you left
<Affiliates4Cash_Nanc> CJ - how do we know if it's 'ok' to create our own textlink that is more appropriate than the text links provided by the merchant?
<Ken_Zachmann> Sorry mark, what was the question again?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Maybe they will read the transcritps
<TipzTime_Wendy> good question Nanc
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Just try again Mark, they are trying! :)
<Aptimus_Tara> They're doing a good job for only two people.
<clickbuck> Eurovacation: you can create a newsletter for special bargain and offer affiliate pay per lead
<DropCigarettes_Mark> I kinda knew they would aviod my questions
<Melissa_Chagaris> Nanc - I recommend contacting the merchant when you want to make changes
<Pastor_Jeff> Shawn, I would like a coffe mug
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> You are here Mark...so you are obviously interested...
<DropCigarettes_Mark> I used to make thousand a month with Cj.... I'll get about 10dollars nest month
<Melissa_Chagaris> It's a good way to get the relationship going as well
<Ken_Zachmann> Mark I plan to review the transcripts but others might benefit from the question, if you could ask again..otherwise contact us directlyu
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> hey, Mark, they haven't answered mine either, they are BUSY trying to read and type, ok?
<csfuchs> just wondering what is cj top affiliates?
<Affiliates4Cash_Nanc> Mark - I looked back and your question seemed broken up...
<Melissa_Chagaris> Bonni, what's your question?
<ClubMom_Shawn> 5 minute warning for this chat
<TipzTime_Wendy> awwwww
<Ken_Zachmann> Mark, you won't get $10 next month since we do not send checks until the affiliate reaches $25.
<DropCigarettes_Mark> It's old news now really... APPIO
<chadwicks_nealpatric> I'm just trying to catch-up on what you are all talking about!
<ac20_jck> CJ folks: Do you ever consider that if you screened your merchants and affiliates more, that you'd have more effective results?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Your right Ken...maybe I'll get a check in a year or so :-)
<Ken_Zachmann> Mark, Okay. Sorry again for missing it
<JollyGoodDeals_Myke> You made me laugh ken!
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> Melissa, can you suggest some way of me marking my merchants at CJ, so I will know which ones I have already copied HTML codes for?
<emt_shareda> Mark please don't make this chat to be about
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Mark dropping from $1000 to $10 is a lot - could you be having a problem with your own site and the way the links are being used?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Not 1000------8000
<cj_nicoleflynn> CJ screens our merchants and affiliates constantly
<Ken_Zachmann> Mark, I hope it doesn't take that long. Hopefully the holiday traffic will earn you some extra $$
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Could be my site ... but I still make thousands
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Don't feel sorry... I still make a nice check
<Melissa_Chagaris> Bonni, you can create a folder of Favorite Links under the Accounts tab
<cj_nicoleflynn> Screening is an ongoing process. You can imagine an affiliate will come in with one website and then the next day they will have many additional sites. We spend time and resourced on this issue. It is very important to CJ.
<Ken_Zachmann> Mark, Well that's good to hear
<DropCigarettes_Mark> I found other solutions
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> Thanks, Melissa, good idea
<Affiliates4Cash_Nanc> Melissa - I think if you use their new SmartZones, you can add the ones you've already copied...
<Red_Hot_Sweeps_CDitty> Mark, what is your site url?
<deegeema> I think Mark just needs some attention for some reason
<mari> Is there a tutorial on cj that explains how to use SmartZones?
<DropCigarettes_Mark> Whttp://WinaNEwCar.com WinaNEwCar.com
<DropCigarettes_Mark> http://WinaNEwCar.com
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> I think Mark needs a cigarette!
<DropCigarettes_Mark> That is my new site
<HerSports_Elizabeth> how do you learn how to use the smartzones, I think the directions are poor
<Melissa_Chagaris> Shoppers, you can our knowledge base (Help area) for questions about Smart Zones
<DropCigarettes_Mark> I will be setting affiliate payout of 50%
<Melissa_Chagaris> or you can call 7am to 7pm PST 1-800-761-1072 and someone can walk you through Smart Zones
<KoolStores_Steve> jamie Birch
<emazing_glenn> Evoy is in the building
<HerSports_Elizabeth> I have and learned nothing
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Mark - this is a legitimate sweepstakes?
<ac20_jck> the infamous Ken Evoy?
<Melissa_Chagaris> Do you have specific question Elizabeth?
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> I find it hard to believe you haven't had 500,000 entries since 1997
<cj_nicoleflynn> In addition for anyone with SmartZone questions please call in from 7am-7pm PST 1-805-560-0777 and speak with a client services representative
<Ken_Zachmann> Elizabeth, What's your question
<ClubMom_Shawn> OK - we'll be wrapping it up after this question.
<chadwicks_nealpatric> I'm new to this affiliate mktg stuff. My assistant handled our program, she is now on maternity leave! So bear with me, can you explain what the Smartzone is?
<ClubMom_Shawn> Thank you to Melissa and Kenneth for presenting a Q&A with Commission Junction. We will be taking a brief intermission at this time to set up for the next speaker. Now is a perfect opportunity to visit the exhibitors.
<Genealogy_LisaDeJong> Thank you CJ!
<ac20_jck> thanks CJ people!
<AroundTheHouse_Bonni> Thanks, CJ, great job
<Ken_Zachmann> Your welcome Lisa!
<ac20_jck> tell Declan Hello!
<TipzTime_Wendy> I think I looked at them all Shawn. hehe
<Robyn_TheWinnersClub> Thanks Melissa and Ken
<Designer> how about the design of this site? great huh?
<Contesthound_Bob> thanks CJ
<APmanager_Jeff> Thanks CJ
<Melissa_Chagaris> Thanks everyone. If your question has not been answered do feel free to contact us at our 800 number
<emazing_glenn> Thanks K & M!
<nano_ryann> thank you CJ - please give Nathan Fish a pat on the back for me!
